With less than 2 weeks until election day (of course, you can vote now) we’d like to remind everyone that you have a chance to be a part of this movement and become a part of Team Z.
We’re always looking for volunteers to both phone bank and canvass. We’d also like to point out that yard signs and bumper stickers are available upon request, or from campaign headquarters in Palm Harbor. It’s a great way to show your support for Carl and his campaign.
We also invite you to join our Facebook campaign page or add Carl as a friend on MySpace.
There is also only a week left to make financial contributions to the campaign. If interested, we encourage you to do so securely online.

October 20th, 2008 — In the News, Media, The Campaign, Volunteers
A week after the Tampa Tribune’s enthusiastic endorsement of Carl Zimmermann in Florida House District 48, the St. Petersburg Times chimes in, saying Carl "…is still the better choice" to represent District 48 in Tallahassee
Zimmermann has a passion for improving the state’s public schools, calling for more partnerships between public schools and private industry, better preparing students for the outside world, enhancing academic freedom in the classroom and moving away from Florida’s obsession with testing. His ideas for tackling the state’s property insurance challenges include buying reinsurance overseas at reduced prices and rewriting state law to lure more insurance companies with A ratings into the state. On budget issues, he wants the state to stop trying to make local governments’ funding decisions and to fix the inequalities in the state tax code…
In House District 48, the Times recommends Carl Zimmermann.
The final push is here and we need you to volunteer and contribute now more than ever so we can send Carl to Tallahassee!
October 14th, 2008 — Media, The Campaign, endorsements
On Saturday morning, the Tampa Tribune said Carl Zimmermann would bring new clout, new energy, and fresh skills to Tallahassee in their endorsement. The Tribune is one step toward getting Carl to Tallahassee and now we need your help as a volunteer and as a contributor.
…Zimmermann, a broadcast journalism teacher at Countryside High School in the Clearwater area, has the skills and energy to bring a much-needed boost to Florida’s public education system.
Zimmermann, who has spent 24 years in education, understands the complexities of the state’s tax structure and the problems with homeowner’s insurance. He wants to change teaching strategies to keep students wanting to learn. If elected, he would make an immediate impact.
The Tribune enthusiastically endorses Carl Zimmermann.
To impact changes here in District 48 and across the state of Florida, vote for Carl Zimmermann on November 4th. If you’d like to help send Carl to Tallahassee, please consider volunteering with the campaign or making a secure contribution online.
